What is Studio?

Genlook Studio lets you create professional product images by generating virtual try-on photos with AI models. Use Studio to:
  • Create marketing content and social media imagery
  • Generate UGC-style product photos
  • Produce catalog images showing products on models
  • Test how products look on different body types
Studio is separate from the customer-facing widget. Use Studio in your admin panel to create images for marketing and content purposes.

Getting Started with Studio

1

Access Studio

In your Genlook admin panel, navigate to Studio from the main menu.
2

Upload a model photo

Click Upload Model and select a photo of a model or person. The photo should:
  • Show a clear front-facing view of the person
  • Have good lighting
  • Include the upper body (for clothing items)
  • Be in portrait orientation for best results
Use high-quality photos with neutral backgrounds for best results. Professional model photos work well, but you can also use photos from your team or customers (with permission).
3

Select a product

Choose a product from your Shopify catalog. Studio will generate an image showing the product on your uploaded model.
You can select any product from your store, even if it’s not enabled for the customer widget. Studio works independently.
4

Generate the image

Click Generate and wait for the AI to create your image. Generation typically takes 10-30 seconds.
Once generation is complete, you’ll see a preview of the result. You can regenerate if you’re not satisfied with the outcome.
5

Download or use the image

Download the generated image or use it directly in your marketing materials. Images are high resolution and ready for use.

Best Practices for Studio

Choosing Model Photos

  • Use diverse models: Show your products on different body types, ages, and backgrounds to appeal to a wider audience
  • High quality images: Professional photos produce better results, but well-lit smartphone photos can work too
  • Consistent style: Use similar photo styles across your Studio images for a cohesive brand look
  • Neutral backgrounds: Photos with simple backgrounds work better than busy or cluttered backgrounds

Product Selection

  • Best sellers: Start with your most popular products to create content that drives sales
  • New arrivals: Generate images for new products to quickly build your marketing library
  • Multiple angles: Generate images showing products from different angles or in different poses
  • Variants: Try different product variants (colors, sizes) to show variety

Image Usage

  • Social media: Use Studio images for Instagram, Facebook, and other social platforms
  • Email marketing: Include Studio images in your email campaigns
  • Product pages: Add Studio images to product pages as additional photos
  • Advertising: Use Studio images in paid advertising campaigns
Create a library of Studio images for your best-selling products. This gives you ready-to-use content for marketing campaigns and social media.

Studio Credits

Studio uses credits from your Genlook plan. Each image generation consumes one credit, just like customer widget generations.
Studio credits are included in your monthly plan. Check your usage in the Genlook admin panel to see how many credits you have remaining.
Studio generations count toward your monthly credit limit. Plan your Studio usage accordingly, especially if you’re on a lower-tier plan.

Troubleshooting Studio

  • Use higher resolution model photos
  • Ensure good lighting in the original photo
  • Try regenerating with a different model photo
  • Check that the product image is clear and front-facing
  • Verify you have available credits
  • Check your internet connection
  • Try uploading a different model photo
  • Contact support if issues persist
  • Ensure the product image shows a clear front view
  • Try a different product variant
  • Some product types work better than others (clothing works best)
  • Regenerate with different settings
