What is Studio?
Genlook Studio lets you create professional product images by generating virtual try-on photos with AI models. Use Studio to:- Create marketing content and social media imagery
- Generate UGC-style product photos
- Produce catalog images showing products on models
- Test how products look on different body types
Studio is separate from the customer-facing widget. Use Studio in your admin panel to create images for marketing and content purposes.
Getting Started with Studio
Upload a model photo
Click Upload Model and select a photo of a model or person. The photo should:
- Show a clear front-facing view of the person
- Have good lighting
- Include the upper body (for clothing items)
- Be in portrait orientation for best results
Select a product
Choose a product from your Shopify catalog. Studio will generate an image showing the product on your uploaded model.
You can select any product from your store, even if it’s not enabled for the customer widget. Studio works independently.
Generate the image
Click Generate and wait for the AI to create your image. Generation typically takes 10-30 seconds.
Once generation is complete, you’ll see a preview of the result. You can regenerate if you’re not satisfied with the outcome.
Best Practices for Studio
Choosing Model Photos
- Use diverse models: Show your products on different body types, ages, and backgrounds to appeal to a wider audience
- High quality images: Professional photos produce better results, but well-lit smartphone photos can work too
- Consistent style: Use similar photo styles across your Studio images for a cohesive brand look
- Neutral backgrounds: Photos with simple backgrounds work better than busy or cluttered backgrounds
Product Selection
- Best sellers: Start with your most popular products to create content that drives sales
- New arrivals: Generate images for new products to quickly build your marketing library
- Multiple angles: Generate images showing products from different angles or in different poses
- Variants: Try different product variants (colors, sizes) to show variety
Image Usage
- Social media: Use Studio images for Instagram, Facebook, and other social platforms
- Email marketing: Include Studio images in your email campaigns
- Product pages: Add Studio images to product pages as additional photos
- Advertising: Use Studio images in paid advertising campaigns
